"Then the Lord said, 'Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?'..."Gen18:17; Gen 15:13-16, Isaiah 42:8-9, Amos 3:7 & 4:13
A relationship between God and Abraham was being built through the experiences Abraham was having. It was to trust God for provision, to listen to His voice and obey, and to see a future of newness and promises. No one before had had such a relationship with God. And God watched on as Abraham grew in his knowledge and understanding concerning this relationship. We know Abraham was an idol worshiper before his encounter with God (Josh 24:2) and had no previous experience with this life relationship.
Now even for us a relationship with God is two way. So as Abraham is growing in knowledge and insight into who God is and what He wants for his life, we can see God also sharing new experiences with Abraham. From the verse above we see God revealing His own intentions and plans to Abraham. These not particularly relating to Abraham, but concerning the world he lives in. God says "shall I hide from Abraham, or do I share with him what I am about to do?" What a wonderful thing to see happening between the two of them, a level of intimacy that was new for men. To have access to the very heart of God concerning what He will do in the world. This was new.
As we read more scripture, like the few verses above, we see God longing to always share with men the desires of His heart. So for us now, God's desire is the same. He is the same always. And if He longed to tell Abraham He can also long to tell us. But for us now there is a requirement in order to gain access into the intimate knowledge of God's heart and mind. We can make our way there through our knowledge of Jesus. For now God reveals Himself through His Son, Jesus (Jn 14:6-10). All we long for from God must be realized in our relationship with Christ. And for Jesus, we must be His disciple. He does not give Himself to all men (Jn 2:24-25), but only to those whom have believed in Him and committed themselves to His service. Jesus told us he reveals the secrets of the Kingdom to His disciples. (Matt 13:11) What a wonderful concept! Our longing to follow Christ and to be with Him gains us access to all that God has in store for this world and what is to come. This level of intimacy can become the norm for all disciples. And as you know more and more you are better equipped to serve Him and establish His Kingdom here on earth until Jesus returns. Listen to all He might be speaking into your life.
PEACE HOUSE, Living Seed Team...
Who we are
A team of men and women called, convinced and ordained of God, brought together one by one, by the Holy Spirit to labour together in the discharge of the vision to teach and build up God's people with the Word; to raise leaders through concerted discipleship; to bring the light of the gospel unto the unreached peoples; to make available sound biblical teachings unto God's people regardless of their culture, language or denominational affiliation, through the print media - Books, journals Tracts etc.; the Electronic media: the radio and Television; Teaching tapes (audio and video); Retreats, Conferences and Training meetings, and other similar Biblical avenues of ministry.
Though presently, the team has a base and a secretariat in Gboko called PEACE HOUSE, which houses the central administrative aspects of the work, yet the team is dynamic. It is not necessarily static or localized in one place. There are other members of the team who effectively labour along though they are not specifically located in Gboko, It grows as the Lord calls men and confirms the vision in their spirits, to labour along with us. For the purpose of identification and official administration, we have chosen to call this team of Christian men and women, so bounded together by the strong cord of God's calling unto this work as "LIVING SEED TEAM"
The team has the following as its mandate:
